Golden Marin Headlands Proposal
I photographed one of my best friends getting engaged and she had NO idea. Her fiance, Jose reached out to me to see what day I was available to photograph his proposal in SF. We picked a date to do it and he planned a weekend getaway with her. She told me about two months before this day that she was going to be in San Francisco in April (which of course, I already knew). I casually told her I was going to be there in April too. I mentioned the day I would be in town and she freaked out because she realized she was going to be there at the same time. I told her I was going to be there for mini session at the Marin Headlands. I said that I had four sessions but one just cancelled so she could do a mini shoot with Jose if she wanted. Of course, she took me up on that. She was so excited. When we met up that day, I kept saying that I needed to send my location to my other mini sessions and keep track of time to make sure I knew when the next one was coming. Little did she know, I didn’t have any mini sessions that day. I just figured that was the best way to keep her not suspicious. After about 10 minutes of couple photos, Jose went to “get a drink of water.” But in reality, he was grabbing the ring box out of his water bottle (yep, it fit)! Then I put them in position and he got on one knee. She was absolutely SHOCKED. It was seriously my greatest joy to photograph them as a newly engaged couple during the stunning golden hour at Marin Headlands. The day went perfectly! Scroll below to see some faves from this day!
