Madeline + Matt wanted to take their photos with desert cliffs and so Anza Borrego seemed like the obvious choice. If you’re gonna do an engagement session in SoCal, might as well send it to somewhere epic right?! We drove two hours east of San Diego where we met up and piled into their car. We initially thought Madeline’s car had 4WD but realized that it was 2WD right before we started the 4 mile off-road journey to these cliffs. The entire road was deep in sand so we were crossing our fingers that we wouldn’t get stuck and thank goodness we didn’t. We arrived to the cliffs, being greeted with 99° and lots of wind. We had so much fun running around the desert at sunset. We were on the cliffs alone until the sun started to set. A few cars pulled up to watch the sunset and a couple with cameras actually started taking photos of Madeline and Matthew behind me, which made them smile and laugh more so we just rolled with it! Altogether, it was worth the trek and such a fun adventure. We even made it back through the sandy roads on the way back, huzzah!
